ISSB Test Dates 2024 | Schedule and Eligibility Criteria

The Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB) is in charge of choosing commissioned officers for Pakistan’s Army, Navy, and Air Force. Exams are administered by ISSB, which announces the schedule of exams on its official website.

ISSB Test Centres

The ISSB Test is being held in Pakistan in Kohat (KPK), Gujranwala (Punjab), Malir (Sindh), and Quetta, per the schedule (Balochistan).

Eligibility Criteria for the ISSB Test

Pakistan Army eligibility requirements

The Pakistan Army offers a variety of courses. The applicant for the courses must be a citizen of Pakistan and meet the requirements listed for each course’s eligibility (Year: 2020):

1)Eligibility for the PMA Long Course

Education: Intermediate (FA/ FSc) or equivalent with at least 55% marks, Intermediate with at least 50% marks if the applicant received a 60% on their bachelor’s degree, or

Intermediate with 55% marks for applicants from the following areas: The following regions are included: Mansehra KP, FATA, Dir, Chitral, Kohistan, Gilgit Baltistan, District Neelam Azad Jammu Kashmir, The. Bala Kot (Naran, Kaghan), Teh. Umar Kot and Tharparker in Sindh, Dist. Rajanpur, Drawer Fort, Cholistan Desert, Mojgarh, Salamsar, and Dingarh Punjab.

or Intermediate with 50% grades for applicants serving as an Army Soldier Nationality, Age, and Gender

Citizen of Pakistan or a long-term occupant of Azad Kashmir or Gilgit Baltistan who meets the age requirements:

  1. The age range for intermediate: is 17 to 22 years
  2. Graduates (2 years program) Age range of 17 to 23 years
  3. Graduates (4 years program) Age range of 17 to 24 years
  4. Soldiers in the Army between the ages of 17 and 25

  6. Relationship Status: Single (married serving personnel of Armed Forces over age 20 is eligible)
  7. The bare minimum height is 5 feet 4 inches (162.5 cm)

2) Eligibility for Technical Cadet Course

Education: FSc (Pre-Eng) with at least 65% in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Computer Studies. or A-Level (with English as a required subject) and passed in 5 subjects with grades ranging from A-C in physics, math, chemistry, computer science, and computer studies.

  • Candidates with O/A levels must submit an equivalent IBCC certificate.
  • Applicants who passed the first year of the FSc with a 65% grade point average and are awaiting the results of the second-year exam may apply for a “hope certificate.”
  • A candidate may only apply for computer software engineering if they took computer science in place of chemistry in intermediate school.
  • Pakistani nationality or status as a long-term citizen of Azad Kashmir or Gilgit Baltistan
  • 17 to 21 years of age

The Pakistan Navy’s eligibility requirements

Here is a list of the various courses for which different eligibility requirements must be met for Pakistani citizens to apply.

1) Pak Nay for the Educational Branch (Short Service Commission)

Qualification Required: Any of the following subjects must have an MCS or be equivalent to a Minimum 2nd division: MENTAL HEALTH & LIBERTY SCIENCES

Specific Gender: Male or Female

Specific age range: 20 to 28 years

Height requirements are 5 feet and 4 inches for men and 5 feet and 5 inches for women.

No. 2 PN Cadet (Permanent Commission)

A minimum grade point average of 60% in MATRIC (O-LEVEL) or FSC (A-LEVEL) is required. These subjects require FCS (A-LEVEL) passing for students:

group one physics, math, and chemistry,

Group two: Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Sciences.

Statistics and Mathematics for Group 3

Men’s gender

Relationship Status: Single

Pak Navy Age restrictions for service applications are 17 to 23 years of age and 16 to 21 years for civil students.

5 feet, 4 inches is the minimum height.

3) Activities (Short Service Commission SSC)

Education years include an FSC or equivalent in math and science with a minimum grade point average of 45% or a graduate equivalence with a minimum grade point average of 45%.

20 to 26 years old

4) Development of weapons (SSC)

BE Electronic with at least a 50% grade point minimum

5) Imagery Special Branch (SSC)

Demand for Education: Holders of a bachelor’s or master’s degree with a minimum of 50% in addition to MSc Space studies.

Men’s gender

20 to 35 years old

5 feet, 4 inches is the minimum height.

6) IT-Special Branch (SSC)

Education required for the test: a bachelor’s or master’s degree in information security, software engineering, or computer sciences. Additionally, networking and software development using JAVA, SOL, and Oracle are given preference.

The minimum heights for men and women are 5 feet, 4 inches, and 5 feet, respectively.

Pakistan Air Force eligibility requirements:

1) Pilot on general duty (GDP)

Education: FSC with Physics and any subjects in Mathematics, Biology, Statistics, and Computer Science. FSc (Computer Science) or a Level (Physics/Maths/Biology) with a minimum grade point average of 60%.
Gender:Male/Female
16 to 22 years of age
Marital Status: Single
Minimum height requirement: 5 feet 4 inches
Training session: Four years of FAP comedy training at Risalpur.

2) Engineering in aeronautics:

Education: A-LEVEL with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry or Matric with 1st division and 65% marks in FSc (Pre-engineering).
Gender:Male/Female
16 to 22 years of age
Relationship Status: Single
A minimum of 5 feet 4 inches for men and 4 feet 10 inches for women
Training period: four years of college in aeronautical engineering.

3) Air Defence

Education: FSc (Pre-medical, Pre-engineering, and Computer-Science) A-LEVEL (math, physics, biology), with at least 60% marks, FSc with Physics and any two subjects in Math’s, Biology, Computer Sciences, and Statistics

Training Period: Four years of instruction at the FAP training in Risalpur.

4) Administrative and special tasks

Education: FSc (Pre-medical, Pre-engineering, and Computer Science) A-LEVEL (math, physics, biology) with at least 60% marks FSc with Physics and any two subjects from Math, Biology, Computer Sciences, and Statistics

16 to 22 years of age

5) Administration and special duties:

14) Medical professionals on general duty (GDMO)

M.B.B.S. with a second-class division and a year of housework.

157 cm for females.
